About Our Text Message Program

Haven Health Plans uses text messages to help our members and clients stay informed about their care, their coverage, and their pharmacy needs. Our goal is simple: send you the right message at the right time, and never more than that.

This page explains what kinds of messages we send, how to start receiving them, how to stop, and what you can expect along the way.

Types of Messages You May Receive

When you opt in, you may receive text messages from Haven Health Plans for purposes including:

  • Appointment reminders — confirmations, upcoming visits, and follow-ups with our team
  • Medication refill reminders — alerts when your prescriptions are ready for pickup or due for a refill
  • Enrollment alerts — important dates and reminders related to Medicare enrollment periods
  • Plan updates — information about your coverage, paperwork, or next steps in your enrollment journey
  • Customer service responses — replies to questions you've asked our team

We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

How to Opt In

You can sign up to receive text messages from Haven Health Plans in any of the following ways:

  • In person at the pharmacy — by providing consent during your pharmacy visit
  • During a Medicare consultation — by giving verbal or written consent to your Haven Health agent
  • Through our website — by checking the SMS consent box on a Haven Health Plans form
  • By texting us — by replying with a keyword we provide (such as JOIN) to a number we share with you

By opting in, you confirm that the phone number you provided is yours and that you agree to receive automated text messages from Haven Health Plans at that number.

Message Frequency

You can expect up to 10 messages per month, depending on your appointments, prescriptions, and enrollment activity. Some months may include fewer messages; some may include slightly more during active enrollment periods or if you have multiple pending refills. 

Message and Data Rates

Msg & Data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to each text message sent or received. Please check with your mobile provider for details about your plan. 

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages from Haven Health Plans at any time. Simply reply STOP to any message you receive from us. You will get one final confirmation message, and after that, you will not receive further texts from that program.

If you change your mind, you can reply START to opt back in, or contact us directly to re-enroll.

Wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to network availability and the conditions of your carrier.

Privacy

We treat your phone number and message activity with the same care as the rest of your personal health information. Phone numbers collected for our text message program are used only for the purposes described on this page and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older and the account holder (or have the account holder's permission) for the mobile number you provide. Haven Health Plans is a licensed independent insurance agency in Colorado. We help adults 65 and older and others eligible for Medicare understand and choose plans offered by private insurers approved by Medicare.
